1. Who We Are
Guhan Astro OS is operated by Megalaivan A R (Guhan), a Vedic astrologer based in
Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, India. Contact: guhanastro@gmail.com
2. What We Collect
2.1 Your Account (Astrologer)
- Mobile phone number (via Firebase OTP — Indian numbers only)
- Name (optional, entered by you)
- Subscription plan and payment records
2.2 Your Client Data (entered by you)
- Client name, date/time/place of birth
- Gender, marital status, phone number (optional)
- Notes, observations, and custom tags
- AI-generated reading history (last 50 per client)
You are the Data Controller for your clients. You are responsible for
obtaining your clients' consent before entering their data into the OS.
2.3 Technical Data (Automatic)
- Server logs (IP, timestamps) — kept 30 days for security
- Session tokens stored in your browser's localStorage
3. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you via OTP and maintain your session
- To store and sync your client charts and readings
- To generate AI Jyotish analysis (Google Gemini API)
- To process payments (Razorpay)
- To send appointment notifications (WhatsApp/SMS, when enabled)
- We do NOT use your data to train AI models
- We do NOT use your data for advertising

5. Security
- Data stored in MongoDB Atlas, Mumbai region (within India)
- All traffic encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- No passwords stored — OTP only
- Client data isolated per astrologer account
6. Data Retention
- Account data: until you request deletion
- Client data: until you delete it or close your account
- AI readings: last 50 per client (older auto-removed)
- Payment records: 7 years (Indian GST law)
- Server logs: 30 days
7. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Correction — update your profile in Settings
- Deletion — email us to delete your account and all data within 30 days
- Portability — request data export as JSON
8. Children
This Platform is for adults 18+. Entering a minor's birth data for chart purposes
requires parental consent from the client's guardian.
9. Changes
We will notify active users via WhatsApp when this policy changes materially.
