1. About the Platform

Guhan Astro OS ("the Platform") is a professional Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool for Vedic astrologers. It provides:

• Client management (storing charts, readings, notes)
• AI-powered Jyotish analysis using Google Gemini (the "Ask Guhan AI" feature)
• Transit calculation and Ashtavarga research tools
• Appointment booking and notification features
• PDF horoscope generation

The Platform is operated by Megalaivan A R (Guhan), The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, India.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform
• You must be a practicing or learning Vedic astrologer — this is a professional tool, not a consumer astrology app
• You must have a valid Indian mobile number for OTP verification
• You must not use the Platform for illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes

3. Account Registration

• You register using your mobile phone number via OTP
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must not share your account with others
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• One account per person. Multiple accounts for the same person are not permitted

4. Subscription Plans, Payment, and Refund Policy

4.1 Plans Available

We offer the following plans (pricing may change with notice):

• Free Trial — limited clients and AI readings, no payment required
• Pro Plan — full access, monthly or annual subscription via Razorpay
• Friend Plan — special access granted manually by Guhan (invite only)

4.2 Payment Terms

• All payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card details
• Subscription fees are charged in Indian Rupees (INR)
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• GST is applicable as per Indian tax laws and will be added to the invoice

4.3 Refund Policy

Refunds are available in the following situations only:

• You were charged but the Platform was completely inaccessible for more than 72 continuous hours due to our fault
• You were charged twice for the same period (billing error)

Refunds are not provided for:

• Change of mind after purchase
• Partial use of the subscription period
• AI responses you disagreed with
• Inability to use the Platform due to your own internet or device issues

6. Client Data Responsibility

When you enter client personal data (name, date of birth, phone number) into the OS:

• You confirm that you have informed your client that you use digital tools for chart management
• You accept responsibility as the Data Controller for your clients under applicable privacy laws
• You must not enter data of clients who have not consented to digital storage of their birth information
• You must not enter false, fabricated, or third-party data to deceive or manipulate

7. Acceptable Use

You MAY:

• Use the Platform for your own astrological consultation practice
• Store charts of real clients who have consulted you
• Use AI readings as a research and reference tool
• Share your personal reading reports (generated PDFs) with your own clients
• Recommend the Platform to other astrologers

You MAY NOT:

• Resell, sublicense, or white-label this Platform as your own product
• Share your login credentials with other people
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the API
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI rules engine
• Use the Platform to generate readings that harm clients (fraud, manipulation, fear-mongering)
• Enter a competitor's client data or use the Platform for competitive intelligence
• Circumvent plan limits by creating multiple accounts

8. Intellectual Property

The following are owned exclusively by Guhan (Megalaivan A R) and are protected by copyright:

• The Subhathuvam/Papathuvam/Sookshuma Valu astrological framework and scoring system
• The Guruji Rules Engine (guruji-rules.js) and all astrological doctrine encoded within
• All code, UI design, and system architecture of Guhan Astro OS
• The "Guhan" and "Guhan Astro" brand names and associated logos

Classical Vedic astrological knowledge (Parashari rules, traditional texts) is in the public domain. Our implementation and encoding of this knowledge is proprietary.

Charts generated from your clients' birth data belong to you. AI-generated readings, when saved, become part of your account data.

9. Service Availability

• We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability
• Planned maintenance will be notified in advance when possible
• The AI feature depends on Google Gemini API availability — if Gemini is down, AI readings will be temporarily unavailable
• We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

• Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
• We are not liable for any harm caused to your clients based on astrological readings (AI-generated or otherwise)
• We are not liable for data loss due to client-side issues (browser clearing localStorage, etc.)

This Platform is provided "as is" for professional astrologers who understand the nature of astrological interpretation.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu
• We will attempt to resolve disputes amicably first — please email us before initiating legal action
• If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996

12. Termination

You may terminate your account by emailing guhanastro@gmail.com requesting account deletion. Upon termination, all your data will be deleted within 30 days. Payment obligations for the current billing period remain even after termination.

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, your account is used fraudulently, subscription payment repeatedly fails, or we receive a valid legal order requiring suspension.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will notify active subscribers via WhatsApp. Continued use after the notification period (14 days) constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account before the new terms take effect.
